Newly formed NPE Cypaleo LLC has filed another round of suits asserting a former Xerox patent, this time hitting Alcatel-Lucent, LG Electronics, Huawei, Kyocera, Samsung, Sony, and ZTE. The patent-in-suit, which was issued to Xerox in 1997, relates to an interactive communication device (5,638,427). In seven separate complaints, Cypaleo accuses the defendants’ smartphones and tablets of infringing the ‘427 patent.
