With Over 30 New Filings, ChriMar’s PoE Campaign Continues to Grow

Over the course of two days, ChriMar Systems Inc. d/b/a CMS Technologies filed more than 30 infringement suits against a range of companies, including Accton Technology, ADTRAN, Alcatel-Lucent, Alpha Networks, ASUSTek, Black Box, Buffalo Technology, Dell, Huawei, Juniper Networks, NETGEAR, Ruckus, StarTech.com, TRENDWare, and WatchGuard. The cases all involve at least two out of a group of four related, homegrown network equipment patents (8,155,0128,902,7608,942,1079,019,838) and target power over Ethernet (PoE) devices and power sourcing equipment. The accused products include wireless access points, VoIP and IP phones, and switches.
