Micro Design Expands Its Processor Campaign with Suits against Cisco and Panasonic

Micro Design LLC has added Cisco (1:15-cv-00821) and Panasonic (1:15-cv-00817) to its campaign targeting processor chips. In two separate suits, the NPE accuses the companies of manufacturing chips that allegedly infringe a single patent concerning communication between a microprocessor and a coprocessor (7,437,535). Since initiating this campaign in June 2014, Micro Design has asserted the ‘535 patent against 22 companies including Amazon, Apple, Best Buy, Google, HP, HTC, LG Electronics, Microsoft, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, and Sony. These 12 defendants are currently active in the campaign (Micro Design’s sole litigation campaign to date).
