The transfers in William Grecia’s litigation campaign, which began in 2013, continue apace in 2015 with cases originally filed against AT&T (4:15-cv-04360), DirecTV (4:15-cv-04359), and DISH (3:15-cv-02808) in the Northern District of Illinois now all before J. Alsup in the Northern District of California. The suits assert a single patent concerning access to digital media stored in a cloud (8,533,860), a patent that Grecia has asserted in the majority of his suits. Grecia has also asserted a related patent (8,887,308) against a few defendants. Media streaming services are at issue in the campaign, which has now hit over 15 defendants, and the three new suits are no exception. The parties have sought consolidation of the three cases.
