An unfavorable claim construction ruling in July 2015 appears not to have dampened the spirits of Puerto Rico-based Canatelo, LLC. On October 23, 2015, the NPE filed three new suits against Amcrest (3:15-cv-02626), Honeywell (3:15-cv-02627), and Tyco (and subsidiary Sensormatic) (3:15-cv-02629). The suits assert two related patents (6,476,858, 7,310,111), generally concerning computerized video surveillance systems, against the defendants’ digital video recorders and cameras.
