Global Interactive Adds Five Cases in Three Districts

The three patents (6,314,5777,574,7218,032,907) that Global Interactive Media, Inc. has asserted in its only litigation campaign generally relate to requesting and receiving metadata about broadcast programs. Global Interactive launched the campaign in December 2014, adding five more defendants this week: Viggle (1:15-cv-08492), TuneIn (5:15-cv-04961), Hubbard Broadcasting (1:15-cv-09608), Scripps Network Interactive (3:15-cv-04960), and ReelzChannel (1:15-cv-09609). The companies are accused of infringement through provision of broadcast listings.
