Amazon, Microsoft, Major League Baseball, All Added to Virtual Gaming Campaign
Virtual Gaming Technologies LLC continues to add cases to the litigation campaign that it started last month. The most recently named defendants are Amazon (2:15-cv-02096), Big Fish Games (2:15-cv-02095), Microsoft (2:15-cv-02092), and Major League Baseball (2:15-cv-02094). Each suit in the campaign asserts two patents (5,860,862; 6,193,610) generally related to real time interaction with contest systems over the Internet against the defendants’ web-accessible gaming platforms and products. Earlier this month, Virtual Gaming added Activision Blizzard, Konami, and Take-Two Interactive Software to a list of defendants that already included Electronic Arts, ESPN, FanDuel, Fox Sports, NFL, Yahoo, and Zynga, among others.
