SportBrain Holdings LLC (SportBrain Illinois) has filed a new wave of individual lawsuits in Illinois against wearable makers Aliphcom d/b/a Jawbone (1:16-cv-00605), Basis Science (1:16-cv-00591), Garmin (1:16-cv-00600), Misfit Wearables (1:16-cv-00608), and Pebble Technology (1:16-cv-00610). The plaintiff pleads that it is the exclusive licensee of a single patent (7,454,002) generally related to portable computing devices that wirelessly receive and integrate personal data. The accused products are the defendants’ wearable computing devices.
