On the heels of dismissing its infringement case against LG Electronics (2:14-cv-01055), Saint Lawrence Communications LLC has added three new defendants to its campaign asserting former VoiceAge patents. This week, the Acacia subsidiary filed its first and only suit to date against Apple, AT&T, and Verizon (Cellco) (2:16-cv-00082), alleging infringement of five patents that generally concern wideband speech and audio compression (6,795,805; 6,807,524; 7,151,802; 7,191,123; 7,260,521). Saint Lawrence focuses its infringement allegations on HD Voice phones (specifically, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus) made and/or sold by the defendants.
