PanTaurus Secure Data Storage Campaign Adds a Seventh Wave

March 3, 2016

March not to be outdone by February, PanTaurus LLC has filed a seventh wave of litigation in its secure data storage campaign, suing Harris Corporation (2:16-cv-00178), Motorola Solutions (2:16-cv-00179), Pitney Bowes (2:16-cv-00180), Pulse Secure (2:16-cv-00181), Vormetric (2:16-cv-00182), and WatchData Technologies (2:16-cv-00183). The complaints in the campaign assert a single patent (6,272,533) generally related to a computer-based data storage system with a manually operable read/write switch for data protection. The NPE’s complaints call attention to claim 29, which recites a “switch operable to selectively enable and disable at least one of said operating modes” without the “manually operative” limitation.
