Red River Innovations LLC has filed a third lawsuit in the litigation campaign that it began last September. The two prior suits, filed against The Sportsman’s Guide and Mrs. Fields Gifts, asserted a single patent (7,958,138) from a family of thirteen generally related to contextual search. However, the new suit, filed against Infolinks (2:16-cv-00231), asserts five other patents from the family (7,526,477; 8,275,785; 8,874,611; 8,275,776; 8,880,533) against the defendant’s InText, which is accused of identifying and presenting additional reading material related to a concept within another, requested electronic text in an infringing manner.
