Lenovo (Motorola Mobility) (1:16-cv-04186) and Sony (1:16-cv-04187) are the latest companies to be pulled into Sportbrain Holding LLC’s wearable computing devices campaign. SportBrain’s campaign, which was initiated in Texas in November 2012, picked up steam in January 2016. The NPE has filed new cases almost every week since then (all in the Northern District of Illinois), with the total number of defendants now approaching 40.
