Voice2Text Technologies LLC, a new NPE affiliated with Empire IP LLC, has begun asserting a single patent (8,914,003) generally related to converting a voicemail to text and sending the resulting message as an email or SMS. The NPE accuses Onvoy (d/b/a Vitelity Communications) (2:16-cv-00424) and Phone.com (2:16-cv-00425) of infringement through their respective voicemail transcription services. This litigation campaign is Voice2Text’s first to date.
