Two more defendants—Genband (2:16-cv-00946) and Vonage (2:16-cv-00947)—have been added to the sole litigation campaign of 2-Way Computing, Inc. The Nevada NPE asserts a single patent (5,434,797) generally related to an audio communication system for a computer network not using traditional telephone lines. Active defendants in the campaign include AT&T Mobility, Avaya, Cisco, Polycom, Shoretel, and Verizon (Cellco), among others. 2-Way’s complaints target the defendants’ IP phones, in the case of Vonage providing as an example of an accused product an IP phone made by Panasonic and sold by Vonage.
