Uniloc USA, Inc. and Uniloc Luxembourg S.A. (Uniloc) closed out May 2016 with a total of 26 new filings, including 11 cases added to its nearly five-year-old medical records campaign. On May 27, Uniloc sued Amazing Charts, Compugroup Medical, Constellation Software (N. Harris Computer Corp.), McKesson, MEDITECH, Netsmart Technologies, Practice Fusion, QuadraMed, UnitedHealth Group (Picis, OptumInsight), and Viztek, accusing the companies of infringing two former Spacelabs Healthcare patents (5,682,526; 5,715,451). The NPE’s infringement allegations focus on the defendants’ modular or complete Electronic Health Record (EHR) products. This week’s filings bring the total number of defendants over 35; other defendants to have been hit by this campaign include Allscripts Healthcare, Athenahealth, CVS Health, e-MDs, General Electric, Healthsouth, Pulse Systems, and Siemens.
