On June 8, Deep Green Wireless LLC, a subsidiary of General Patent Corporation (GPC), and Yealink Network Technology, the last of three defendants in its litigation campaign, filed a motion to dismiss the case in light of settlement. On that same day, Deep Green filed two new complaints, adding cases against Ooma (2:16-cv-00604) and Uniden (2:16-cv-00606) to the campaign. The NPE asserts a single patent (RE42,714) generally related to products that manage voice communication from multiple devices over land lines and wireless networks. The new complaints target the defendants’ base stations, including femtocell and access point products that operate using digital enhanced cordless telecommunications (DECT), a cordless phone standard.
