Mirror Worlds Technologies, LLC, a subsidiary of publicly traded NPE Network-1 Technologies, Inc., has reached a settlement in its litigation with Apple over a single patent (6,006,227) generally related to document streaming (6:13-cv-00419). Documents filed on July 8 in the Mirror Worlds lawsuit indicate that the parties came to an agreement shortly before jury selection was to begin in a retrial on the issue of infringement. In a press release, Network-1 stated that the parties had agreed to a $25M license to the ‘227 patent along with rights to other unspecified patents held by Network-1. The ‘227 patent expired earlier this year.
