Concinnitas Resumes Smartphone and Hotspot Campaign, Targeting Motorola Mobility and Others
August 15, 2016
Texas-based NPE Concinnitas LLC and inventor George W. Hindman have resumed their litigation campaign after nearly two years without new filings, suing Lenovo (Motorola Mobility) (2:16-cv-00901), Skyroam (2:16-cv-00900), and Zubie (2:16-cv-00899) over a single patent (7,805,542) generally related to a mobile unit attachment that restricts access to wireless data based on the recipient’s authorization status. Accused of infringement are a similar range of products as in previous cases: Motorola Mobility is targeted for making and selling various Android smartphones, while Skyroam and Zubie are alleged to infringe through mobile hotspots.
