Patent Office Issues Eight Millionth Patent

August 17, 2011- The US patent office issued the eight millionth patent yesterday. Patent No. 8,000,000 for a “Visual Prosthesis” was issued to Second Sight Medical Products. The patent concerns the use of video data transmission to stimulate the retina.
