DataTreasury Sues US Bank National Association

August 4, 2011

DataTreasury filed suit against US Bank National Association over six patents related to mobile banking applications.  This case was severed from DataTreasury’s February 2006 case for all claims and counterclaims relating to the patents-in-suit.  US Bank National Association has already been ordered to pay DataTreasury $53 million in damages as a result of that February 2006 case.  Since 2002, DataTreasury has filed over 15 suits against dozens of financial institutions.  The company claims to have received more than $350 million in settlement and licensing fees including settlements with Citibank for $50 million, First Data Corp. for $38 million, and Union Bank of California for $23.5 million.  8/2, Eastern District of Texas, 2:2011cv00346.
