Floatron Systems Expands Remote Access Software Campaign

October 17, 2019

Floatron Systems LLC has taken its sole litigation campaign, begun in early September 2019 with Delaware cases against Parallels and Splashtop, to a new venue with suits against AMD (1:19-cv-01009) and HP (1:19-cv-01010) in the Western District of Texas. The NPE asserts a single patent generally related to providing a coprocessor for floating-point operations, memory, or virtualization that is accessed wirelessly, targeting the provision of remote software solutions—in these new suits, AMD’s Radeon Software Adenalin and HP’s Remote Graphics Software. Floatron appears to be controlled by an individual with ties to several other patent plaintiffs, including one that filed its inaugural suit this past September.
