Google Seeks to Invalidate Oracle Patent with IPAT Patent

July 6, 2011- Google’s efforts to invalidate patents asserted by Oracle in ongoing litigation are focused, in at least one instance, on a patent issued to Addison Fischer  (5,412,717).  The ’717 patent was the subject of litigation resolved for clients by RPX in January 2010 (several suits had been initiated by plaintiff entities Information Protection and Authentication of Texas and Global Innovation Technologies).  RPX will be the assignee of the ’717 and related patents upon final resolution of the pending litigations.
