Former Sony Engineer Sues Nintendo

Tomita Technologies [NPE] filed suit against Nintendo over a patent related to 3D displays. 6/22, Southern District of New York, 1:2011cv04256.  Nintendo’s 3DS gaming device is the accused product.  According to the complaint,  the inventor of the patent-in-suit, Seijiro Tomita, worked at Sony for 30 years before retiring in 2002 to invent and develop technologies on his own.  The complaint says Tomita is the inventor or co-inventor of over 70 US and foreign patents. This is Tomita Technologies’ first patent suit.
