EON Corp IP Holdings [NPE] filed suit against Landis+Gyr, Silver Spring Networks, Itron, and three others over three patents related to two-way communications networks. EON has previously asserted the same patents in six different suits. 6/17, Eastern District of Texas, 6:2011cv00317. Toshiba announced in May 2011 that it would acquire smart meter company Landis + Gyr for $2.3 billion.
