Nokia Licenses Apple

June 14, 2011- Nokia announced that it has reached a settlement with Apple, resolving all patent litigation between the two companies.  Nokia originally filed suit against Apple in 2009 alleging infringement of 26 patents.  Each of the companies also filed ITC complaints against the other. The ITC ruled in favor of Nokia in November 2010, finding that Nokia did not infringe Apple patents.  Nokia filed its ITC complaint against Apple in March 2011.  Under the terms of the agreement, Nokia will grant a license to Apple for a one-time payment and an ongoing royalty.  The specific terms of the agreement are confidential.
