Datatreasury Files New Suit against US Bancorp for Mobile Banking Application

Datatreasury [NPE] filed a new patent suit against US Bancorp targeting a mobile banking application.  6/2, Eastern District of Texas, 5:2011cv00108.  Datatreasury filed an earlier suit against US Bancorp in 2006.  In March 2010, a jury returned a verdict in favor of Datatreasury and US Bancorp was ordered to pay $53 million to Datatreasury.  A final judgment on post-verdict royalties is expected to be entered on June 16.  Datatreasury filed this new action in response to a mobile banking application launched by US Bancorp in March.
