Visual Interactive Phone Concepts [NPE] filed three separate suits against Apple, AT&T and US Cellular over two patents related to phones with memory chips for storing transaction data.  5/25, Eastern District of Michigan, 2:2011cv12303, 2:2011cv12310, 2:2011cv12313.  Visual Interactive Phone Concepts (VIPC)  filed two previous suits-one against Virgin Mobile in 2005 and one against Leap Wireless in 2007.   The VIPC patents were subject to ex parte reexaminations filed in 2008.  Reexamination certificates affirming the validity of the two patents were issued in 2010.  The patents have a 1995 priority.
