Proven Networks Files First Suit over Patents Picked Up from Provenance

March 6, 2020

Proven Networks, LLC has filed suit against Cisco (2:20-cv-00074) in the Eastern District of Texas, asserting four patents that broadly directed to “data networking technology”. The plaintiff pleads that they address “the general problem of network congestion and bandwidth limitations by providing specific techniques to optimize and manage data traffic”. Proven Networks accuses Cisco of infringement through the provision of Cisco IOS, IOS XE, IOS XR, and/or NX Internetworking Operating Systems, as well as certain network switches and routers that run them.
