Via Vadis [NPE] filed suit against Skype over two patents related to a peer to peer VOIP communications.  5/10, Eastern District of Virginia, 3:2011cv00306.  This is the first time Via Vadis filed a patent infringement suit in the US.  The patents-in-suit are assigned to AC Technologies.  Via Vadis (based in Luxembourg) is identified as the exclusive licensee in the complaint.  Via Vadis filed suit against Skype in Luxembourg in January 2011 for alleged infringement of a European counterpart of the in-suit patents.
