MyPort IP [NPE] filed suit against HTC, LG Electronics, Nokia, RIM, Samsung, Sharp, and Sony over a patent related to a method for embedding searchable information into a file for transmission, storage, and retrieval.  5/13, Eastern District of Virginia, 6:2011cv00246.  This is the first suit filed by MyPort.  The patent-in-suit was assigned to MyPort in 2003.
