WSOU Files First Suit from Thousands of Former Nokia Patents Scooped Up in 2017

March 14, 2020

WSOU Investments, LLC has filed its first litigation from the thousands of patent assets that it received from Nokia (including from Alcatel-Lucent) throughout 2017, targeting Huawei (6:20-cv-00188) in a new Western District of Texas complaint. At issue is a single networking patent, with infringement allegations focused on Huawei routers “with shared-risk-link-group (SRLG) related functions”, including Huawei NetEngine 40E series routers. WSOU pleads that it is a Delaware entity doing business as “Brazos Licensing and Development”; in Texas, the plaintiff has filed a recent document indicating that it intends to conduct business under the assumed name “Brazos Development and Licensing”.
