A Wagoo of Entities Has Begun Filing Suit, Targeting Apps Using Location-Based Information

March 12, 2020

Another plaintiff associated with Wagoo L.L.C., a Texas company founded by Federico Fraccaroli in June 2010, has filed suit over patents on which Fraccaroli is a named inventor. Last week, Eventi LLC asserted two patents generally related to interacting with mobile devices based on location information in a Northern District of Texas case against The Network Bar (3:20-cv-00628), targeting the Dallas establishment’s mobile networking app. That case joined a new suit filed by Wagoo-associated entity Intelligent Agency LLC against 7 Eleven (4:20-cv-00185) over three different Fraccaroli patents also broadly directed to interactions with mobile devices based on location information. Litigation by Intelligent Agency is already underway in the Western District of Texas, as is litigation by a third Wagoo-associated entity, Mediated Ambiance LLC, in yet another venue, the Southern District of New York.
