Speed Detection Campaign Swipes Best Buy and TomTom

PerSen Technologies Incorporated (d/b/a PERSENTECH) has added two Western District of Texas cases to its sole litigation campaign, accusing Best Buy (1:20-cv-00395) and TomTom (1:20-cv-00396) of infringing a single patent broadly directed to a vehicle warning system for alerting a driver based on speed sensing data. The accused products are GPS devices that feature speeding detection tools, with the Best Buy complaint highlighting the Garmin DriveSmart 51 LMT-S GPS device and the TomTom complaint, the TomTom GO 620 GPS device.
