Surviving Alice, IP Edge’s Stormborn Technologies Continues Targeting Compatibility with the HSPA Standard

IP Edge’s Stormborn Technologies LLC has sued Danaher (OTT Hydromet d/b/a Sutron) (1:20-cv-00458), Lockheed Martin (1:20-cv-00458), and NexGo (1:20-cv-00529) in three separate districts: the Eastern District of Virginia, the Northern District of Ohio, and the District of Delaware, respectively. A single patent generally related to spread-spectrum data transmission has been asserted in this campaign. The patent was received from NPE Linex Technologies, Inc., with infringement allegations focusing on the provision of devices compatible with the HSPA telecommunication standard: the Sutron GPRS-1 Cell Modem, Lockheed Martin UCP PCN portable base station, and NexGo’s mobile payment terminals, respectively.
