Inventor-controlled Engle Grange, LLC has filed suit against Ford (1:20-cv-00569), targeting the automaker’s provision of certain automobiles, including the Expedition, Explorer, Fusion, and Mustang, equipped with the Ford Intelligent Access and Push-Button Start system. At issue are features for unlocking and starting vehicles with a remote key fob. The plaintiff asserts three patents that generally relate to turning on the ignition system of an automobile by determining the present location of a key fob.
