Handful of Defendants Sued in IP Edge E-Commerce Campaign Targeting the OAuth Authentication Standard

Texas monetization firm IP Edge LLC, through plaintiff Karetek Holdings LLC, has added five new cases to the campaign that it launched in April 2020 over a single patent generally related to accessing a network resource through an “access authority”. In its new complaints, Karetek Holdings accuses Alamo Drafthouse (6:20-cv-00681), AT&T (Rooster Teeth) (6:20-cv-00683), Grocery Delivery E-Services USA (d/b/a HelloFresh) (6:20-cv-00682), Lamps Plus (6:20-cv-00683), and PetSmart (6:20-cv-00684) in the Western District of Texas of infringement through the provision of e-commerce websites that use the OAuth authentication standard.
