Bluebonnet Internet Media Services, LLC has filed its first lawsuit, accusing Liberty Media (Pandora) (6:20-cv-00731) of infringing four patents acquired through the default of Friskit, a one-time provider of a “cloud-based on-demand media service”, on its obligations under a 2003 security agreement. The patents generally relate to streaming media playlists based on a user’s rating system. Pandora is targeted over the provision of personalization features, responsive to a thumbs-up and thumbs-down rating system, within its music streaming platform.
