Inventor-Backed Plaintiff Targets Use of Sponsored Lenses and Filters on Snapchat

Sanderling Management Ltd. has sued Snap (1:20-cv-04627) over the provision of the Snapchat platform, targeting features for allowing users to add certain filters and lenses to photos and videos depending on location. The inventor-controlled plaintiff asserts three patents generally related to “distributing a digital image processing function” to a device based on its GPS location.
