Inventor-Controlled Plaintiff Sues Samsung over Reverse Wireless Charging

Garrity Power Services LLC has sued Samsung (2:20-cv-00269) over the provision of certain Galaxy smartphones that feature Wireless PowerShare, a functionality also known as "reverse wireless charging", allowing a smartphone to wirelessly charge another device. A single patent generally related to wirelessly charging or discharging a battery is asserted in the Eastern District of Texas complaint, which details the education, professional background, and awards of the patent’s named inventors, Paul Garrity, the CEO of Garrity Power Services; and Aaron Jungreis, a research and development engineer with the plaintiff.
