Inventor-run 10Tales, Inc. has filed its first lawsuit, suing ByteDance (TikTok) (6:20-cv-00810) in the Western District of Texas over the provision of the TikTok platform. A single patent, generally related to associating “user attributes” with “digital media asset attributes” and creating a “composite digital media display” for users based on the determined attributes, is asserted in the complaint, which targets the “For You” recommendation feed.
