WSOU Investments, LLC (d/b/a Brazos Licensing and Development) has continued the expansion of its litigation over former Nokia patents through the onset of fall, adding five Western District of Texas cases against NEC (6:20-cv-00923; 6:20-cv-00924; 6:20-cv-00925; 6:20-cv-00926; 6:20-cv-00927) to its late-September and early-October suits against Huawei and Juniper Networks. As has been its practice, WSOU asserts in each complaint a single patent received from Nokia (including Alcatel-Lucent) since 2017. Together, the five new suits target a variety of networking hardware and software products, adding NEC to a list of previous defendants that includes Alphabet (Google), Dell (EMC), F5 Networks, HP Enterprise (HPE), Microsoft, Xilinx, and ZTE, as well as Huawei and Juniper.
