Virtual Reality Feedback Corporation Sues Amazon For Selling Ultimate Game Chair Products

November 29, 2012

Virtual Reality Feedback Corporation (VRF) and Craig Thorner filed suit against Amazon.com, alleging that Amazon.com has sold the Free Play Ultimate Game Pad, as well as the Renegade and Reactor game seats made by the Ultimate Game Chair company through its website (www.amazon.com), and by doing so has infringed two patents related to a seat-based tactile sensation generator and a control signal for a tactile sensation generator.  VRF and Thorner have filed six prior suits since May 2008 against defendants including Sony, Target and Wal-Mart Stores.  The patents-in-suit were assigned to VRF along with a third patent by the named inventors in March 2008.  Thorner is a named inventor on both of the patents-in-suit.  11/21, District of New Jersey, assigned to Judge Peter G. Sheridan and referred to Magistrate Judge Tonianne J. Bongiovanni, 3:2012cv07263.
