Following its suits against NEC earlier this month, WSOU Investments, LLC (d/b/a Brazos Licensing and Development) has now targeted BBK Electronics (OnePlus Technology (Shenzhen)) with five suits (6:20-cv-00952; 6:20-cv-00953; 6:20-cv-00956; 6:20-cv-00957; 6:20-cv-00958) in the Western District of Texas. As has been its practice, WSOU asserts in each complaint a single patent received from Nokia (including Alcatel-Lucent) since 2017. Together, the five new suits target various OnePlus-branded smartphones that feature cellular networking and fast charging, adding OnePlus to a list of previous defendants that includes Alphabet (Google), Dell (EMC), F5 Networks, HP Enterprise (HPE), Huawei, Juniper Networks, Microsoft, NEC, Xilinx, and ZTE.
