Health Feature of the Amazon Halo Targeted in New Complaint by Inventor-Backed Plaintiff

Select Research Ltd. has filed suit against Amazon (6:20-cv-00964) in the Western District of Texas, accusing the tech giant of infringing a single patent generally related to calculating an “indication” of a person’s health by determining body composition data through a “health indicator device”. The Amazon Halo is the accused product, with Select Research targeting certain features for measuring body composition.
