Browse3D, LLC has added a case to the litigation campaign that it launched in March 2019, suing Staples (6:20-cv-01051) in the Western District of Texas. The plaintiff asserts a single patent, generally related to simultaneous presentation of multiple webpages. Infringement allegations target the provision of e-commerce websites, with features for presenting customized information (e.g., items recommended for purchase) based on monitored browsing activity at issue. In prior litigation, Flash3D LLC—an entity associated with monetization firm IP Valuation Partners LLC (d/b/a IPVal)—accused Facebook, Microsoft, and Samsung of infringing earlier-issuing members of the same family in a campaign that ran from June to November 2017.
