IP Edge Sues Electronic Components Distributors over STMicro, Xilinx Products
Optical Licensing LLC, a plaintiff associated with Texas monetization firm IP Edge LLC, has kicked off another campaign litigating a former Cypress Semiconductor patent received from Monterey Research, LLC, this one generally related to transferring data with a memory device. The NPE has filed suit against Avnet (6:21-cv-00187) and Berkshire Hathaway (Mouser Electronics) (6:21-cv-00187) over Xilinx’s Platform Flash XL (XCF128XFTG64C programmable logic), as well as against Arrow Electronics (6:21-cv-00187) and Future Electronics (6:21-cv-00187) over the provision of certain STMicro microcontrollers. At issue is the incorporation of “RAM and a RAM controller for providing asynchronous and synchronous memory access”.
