Parallel Iron Re-Files Suit against Hitachi, LSI, NetApp, and Oracle

Parallel Iron [NPE] filed seven separate suits against Adknowledge, Amazon, BlueArc, EMC, Hitachi, LSI, NetApp, and Oracle, alleging that the defendants’ file storage systems infringe three patents related to storing data across multiple servers.  Parallel Iron filed suit against BlueArc, Hitachi, LSI, NetApp, and Oracle in April 2012, and the suits were dismissed on June 19, 2012. Parallel Iron has filed three prior suits since January 2011 against over 10 defendants, including Amazon, AOL, Groupon, Hulu, IBM, Samsung, and Twitter.  The patents-in-suit were previously owned by Ring Technology before being assigned to Parallel Iron in March 2010.  6/18, District of Delaware, no judge yet assigned, 1:2012cv00762; 1:2012cv00763; 1:2012cv00764; 1:2012cv00766; 1:2012cv00767; 1:2012cv00769; 1:2012cv00770.
