InnoBrilliance, LLC has added another Western District of Texas case to its second litigation campaign, accusing Samsung (6:21-cv-00227) of infringing the same five patents over which it sued Sony in January. The new complaint targets Samsung’s provision of certain smart TVs with preinstalled apps, purportedly illustrating such a television with Major League Baseball’s app (MLB.TV) in the pleading. InnoBrilliance zeroes in on the accused TVs’ support for displaying multiple games at once and switching between different content, as the asserted patents generally relate to displaying multiple video streams on a “television system”.
