May 21, 2012 – Dish Network submitted its comments to the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) regarding wireless spectrum that the company has licensed. The FCC is currently deliberating whether to change the current rules governing the use of the mobile satellite spectrum for data, voice and video services. In March 2012, Dish completed its acquisitions of DBSD North America and TerraStar, investing over $3 billion to take control of 40 MHz of spectrum in the 2 GHz band.
