Alcorn Communications [NPE] filed suit against Implix USA, alleging that Implix’s email promotional newsletters infringe two patents related to the structured generation and distribution of a news release.  Alcorn has filed one prior suit against Vocus on May 1, 2012.  According to the complaint, Alcorn is the exclusive licensee of the patents-in-suit, which originated with NewsGems and were assigned to Kolomoki Mounds in June 2010.  RPX reviewed the portfolio as an open market opportunity (NewsGems) in May 2009.  5/4, District of Delaware, no judge yet assigned, 1:2012cv00576.
